Egle R. Robino, née Scola, of Mamaroneck, passed away April 21st, 2025, at age 84.  She was born in Marano Marchesato, Cosenza, Italy on November 21, 1940, to Cesare & Amalia Scola. In earlier years, she was a factory worker with Metaglo in Mamaroneck and later enjoyed her life as a homemaker.  Her greatest joys included cooking for her family, who fondly recall her food as the world’s best.  Egle is the devoted mother of Michael Bisignani (married to Maria Jose’), Maria Bisignani and the late Amalia Bisignani and grandmother of Larissa.

 

Flora Datino (nee O’Connor) passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on April 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.  Born on August 19, 1926 to Francis and Blanche O’Connor in Arena, NY.  She graduated from Bellows High School in Mamaroneck.

 

Flora married her high school sweetheart the late John L. Datino, Sr. and raised their seven children in Mamaroneck.  Flora is survived by her loving children, Charles, Rosemary DeLuccia (Bob), Peter (Martha), Nancy Datino (Srini) and Joanne Santoro (Rich) son-in-law Frank DiPilato and daughter-in-law Sharon Datino.

 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn DiPilato, son John L. Datino, Jr. and daughter-in-law, MaryAnn Datino.  Flora, also known as Grammy, is survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and predeceased by one great-grandson, Benjamin

 

Flora was known for her wisdom, unconditional love, baby whispering abilities, and of course her laundry cleaning tips.  She never missed giving a call for birthdays, anniversaries, or just checking in.  She was always ready for a celebration, especially her annual August birthday party.  She was happiest when surrounded by her family and little dog Lila.  Flora was a true matriarch of her family, she lived a long and wonderful life, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.

 

John J. Kiernan, of Mamaroneck, passed away April 16, 2025, at age 83.  He was born on January 5. 1942 to John Joseph & Ruth Kiernan.  John proudly served in the US Army from 1961-1963.  For over 40 years he worked as an electrician with Con Ed, a job he truly loved.  John was an avid fisherman, often making a catch on the shores of City Island.  John and his late wife, Veronica, loved to travel and often took trips to Cancun as well as The Hamptons.  He was a staunch NY Yankees & Giants fan who also had an ability to tinker around and fix and create.  He is now reunited in Heaven with his late wife, Veronica.  John is survived by his cherished daughter, Stacy Mittelmann and her husband Jeff, and his stepson, Andrew Mimnaugh.  He is the loving grandfather of Sean Mittelmann and the dear brother of his identical twin, James Kiernan, and his sister, the late, Joan Kiernan. 

 

Judith ("Judy") Sandra Rozner (née Himmelstein), age 85, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025.  A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong educator, Judy touched countless lives through her dedication to family, friends, education, and community service.

 

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Burton "Burt" Rozner (2020).  She is survived by her children Lisa, David, and Steven (Shannon) and her cherished grandson Benjamin.

 

Judy made her professional mark by launching and directing the “Understanding Handicaps” program, which she ran with dedication for nearly two decades in the Mamaroneck, NY school district—creating opportunities for children to develop empathy and kindness toward people with a range of disabilities.  Her commitment to fostering understanding and inclusion left a lasting impact on generations of students and families.

 

Beyond her professional achievements, Judy embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity.  She loved travel.  She had a deep appreciation for the arts, particularly musical theater and opera.  Her beautiful soprano voice enriched community singing groups, including Poperatics, where she shared her love of music with others.  An avid wordsmith, Judy never encountered a crossword puzzle she couldn't conquer.

 

Above all, Judy loved her husband Burt, her children and grandson, and her friends fiercely.  Her warmth, intelligence, and unwavering support created a foundation of love that will continue to sustain her family through this difficult time.

 

Kathleen O. Walsh of Mamaroneck & Naples Florida passed away surrounded by her Loving Family on April 7th,2025 at the age of 75.  Kathy was born on September 26,1949 in Goole, Yorkshire England to Jerome & Ivy Farrell.  The Farrell Family moved to the Bronx in 1960 & a few years later to Inwood upper Manhattan.

 

Kathy & Eddie resided in the Bronx for 8 years & moved to Larchmont & Mamaroneck to raise their family for the past 44 years.  Kathy worked for Moore Business Forms for 10 yrs in Manhattan & waitressed at Doubledays in the Bronx for 8yrs & 22 yrs for Mamaroneck High School as a Secretary, retired in 2013.  Kathy had many close friends from her HS days at “St Nicholas of Tolentine” in the Bronx & Mamaroneck from work.  She loved being with the Walsh & Galletti families for gatherings.  Kathy was a social woman, always enjoying the company of friends & meeting for lunch.  Kathy was an avid reader & enjoyed finger painting.

 

Her greatest joy was being with her Family & Grandkids.  Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Edward Walsh, her loving sons Christopher (Tina) and Kevin Walsh, cherished grandchildren, Colin & Ivy, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her loving brother, John & dear sister, Mary Galletti.

 

June Bisaccia (Purcell) passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on January 11, 2025 in St. Petersburg, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.  Born Elizabeth June Purcell on February 19, 1934, to James and Lillian Purcell, June grew up in Mamaroneck, NY.  Her life forever changed when she met and fell in love with John M Bisaccia.  They were married on Sept. 5, 1957, raising their 4 children in Mamaroneck.  June is survived by her beloved children, Laura Bivona (Joseph), Lynda Spadaro (Peter), both of St. Petersburg Fl, John (Marna) of Williston Vt. and David, of Cross River, N.Y.  June is also survived by her dear sister Diana (Torre), 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren as well as by numerous nieces and nephews across the U.S.

 

June lived a rewarding, faith driven life with her husband, extended family, and large circle of friends serving as the focus of innumerable gatherings, most of which centered around joyous, boisterous Italian meals in Yonkers, Mamaroneck, or on Long Beach Island, N.J.  June and John loved spending time at their home in Long Beach Island.  They opened their home, in LBI, to everyone, and they spent many happy times there with their friends and family. June enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City, as well as traveling, with cruising and touring Italy being their favorite vacations.
