Hilario Galeano, of Mamaroneck, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born in Paraguay on August 12, 1959, to Juan Cancio Galeano and Anunciación Cabrera. In 1985, Hilario immigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities, carrying with him a deep pride in his roots and an unwavering work ethic.
Hilario was a devoted and hard-working man who built a life rooted in care, loyalty, and laughter. For many years, he was a trusted estate manager, known for his reliability and quiet strength. Outside of work, he lived life fully — his warm laugh, vivid storytelling, and love of good company made him the heart of every gathering. He found joy in simple pleasures: cheering for his favorite soccer teams, spending time outdoors, and especially grilling a good barbecue while playing classic ballads and folk songs, singing along with friends and family by his side. Hilario was deeply proud of his Paraguayan heritage and carried it with him in everything he did — through the language he spoke, the values he upheld, and the memories he shared. Above all, he was a loving husband, a proud father, and a constant source of joy and comfort to those who knew him.
Hilario leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy, and his cherished children, Jacqueline and William.
Loretta A. Brandstadter, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of William A. Brandstadter, who predeceased her. She is survived by her loving children Erik and Lauren, adoring grandchildren VaiMana Haoa-Brandstadter, Vincent Brandstadter (Nicole), Erik Brandstadter Jr, and twin brothers Robert Maksudian of NYC, and William Maksudian of Larchmont.
Born November 21, 1937 to Edward and Satenig Maksudian. Loretta's twin sister Lillian passed in 1976. She has a daughter Ani Khatchian (Gary) and three sons.
Loretta lived in Larchmont 75 years, graduated from Mamaroneck High School and Hunter College with a BA and MA in art. She taught all grades and subjects in the Mamaroneck School System as a permanent substitute for 24 years, which included all the elementary schools, high school, and mostly in Hommocks Middle School. Loretta loved her students and encouraged them to strive for excellence. Students and staff appreciated her professionalism, talent, and dedication. Prior to working in Mamaroneck, Loretta taught art in Yonkers (Gorton and P.S. 5) and Mt. Vernon (A.B. Davis).
Loretta was a kind and thoughtful person with a great love for her husband and family. She will be remembered for her watercolor Christmas cards that she painted every year for family and friends.
