Caterina Violi of Mamaroneck passed away on October 26, 2025, at age 93. She was born on February 22, 1932, in San Vito, Calabria, Italy to Leonardo & Maria Rosa Pasceri. Caterina was a loving and devoted caretaker to many. She cared for children in her home for over thirty years and was the founder of Nonna's House Daycare. She was devoted to her faith and her family, grew beautiful flowers and an abundant vegetable garden. She was an amazing cook who created many incredibly delicious meals for everyone who sat at her table. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, the late Vincenzo Violi. She is the cherished mother of Susan Spampinato, Theresa Gilpin (James), Rosemary Cooper (Lance), Anthony Violi (Karen) and Leonard Violi (Sherri), the loving grandmother of Nicholas Spampinato, Melissa Waller (Joshua), Jacqueline Gilpin, James Gilpin (Karen), Lauren Hudson, Alfred Arvonio, Nicole Violi, Victoria Violi, Rachaela Ladj (Sebestien), Elizabeth Violi & Vincent Violi, and great grandmother of, Caitlyn & Parker Starkey and Emerson & Roman Waller. Caterina is also the dear sister of Caterina Cortese as well as the late, Giuseppe Pasceri, Maria Vigliarolla and William Cortese.
Tara Maloney of Mamaroneck, N.Y. passed away on October 18th, 2025. Tara spent her entire career as a research analyst at Sudler & Hennessy and was much admired for her problem solving abilities. As a crossword puzzler and avid Jeopardy fan, she always had the answers, except when the category was Opera. Tara was a diligent care giver to her parents and elderly aunt in their later years and was always there with help and cheerleading. Her kindness extended to all living things. Her love of animals included her passion for horse racing. People would always ask her for betting tips, as she knew all the horses’ lineages, the trainers and the jockeys. She had encyclopedic knowledge. She loved to travel and showed her hidden adventurous side when she walked through the souks of Morocco or parasailed off Tennerif. She is deeply missed by her family: Eileen ((Bosco), Tracey (Sprotte), Andrew (Duke) Maloney, Patrick Maloney and Kate Maloney. She adored her numerous nieces and nephews and was beloved by her friends. She was a sensitive soul and was taken too soon.
Donald I. Beebe, of Mamaroneck, passed away on October 17, 2025, at age 86. He was born in Kingston, NY on February 10, 1939, to Irwin & Helen Beebe. Donald served in the US Army and was most proud of his accomplishment in creating the fuel that first launched the rocket carrying monkeys into space. He attended college in Florda and went on to become the proprietor of an import/export business, B & B Associates, located in the Empire State Building. His career allowed him to travel throughout the world. In earlier years, he was an avid golfer but continued to love watching golf on television. Donald enjoyed watching his sons play sports and in later years he was overjoyed to be a grandfather. He is the devoted husband of Rosemary (nee Lancia) and the cherished father of Donald “DJ” Beebe and the late Brett Beebe. He is the loving grandfather of Dante John Beebe and brother of the late Bruce Beebe. He is also survived by his nieces, Lisa Scaglione and Genie Beebe
Lydia A. Panaro Grier of Mamaroneck, NY passed away on October 15, 2025. She was 86. Born in Mamaroneck on March 2, 1939 to Salvatore and Veronica Panaro (nee Gentile). Lydia received her PHD from New York University. She was a professor at Manhattan College for 49 years until her retirement. Lydia leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years, Harry Grier. She is the loving stepmother of Lydia King Grier and the late Meredith Grier, cherished sister of, Doreen Del Bianco and the late William Panaro and Toni May. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Flora Guglielmo, of Mamaroneck, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love October 14, 2025, at age 77. She was born on May 31, 1948, in the Bronx to Gerolamo & Lena Rigotti. Flora was a graduate of College of New Rochelle with a Bachelor of Nursing. She started her career at the bedside as a geriatric nurse and ended it working as a school nurse in the Mamaroneck School District. Flora was generous and sincere, everyone who knew her professionally or personally felt that. Above all, Flora loved and was completely devoted to her family, her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother. She celebrated all of life’s moments with family dinners, laughter and pictures she protested taking, that is her greatest legacy. She was a dedicated mother, Nonna, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Flora, alongside her beloved late husband, Thomas John Guglielmo, Jr. were the proprietors of Larchmont Meateria, a business they operated with their son. She greeted everyone who walked through the doors with a smile and would offer a cookie to all kids big and small. Flora was an incredible cook, her recipes were shared with a select few but everyone was welcome at her table to enjoy a delicious meal. Through the years as she gardened, she grew vegetables for her incredible meals and flowers to brighten days, knitted blankets for all of life’s events for friends and family, and had a huge heart for animals, especially hers. She is survived by her cherished children, Thomas John Guglielmo III “TJ” (Siomara) and Jamie Leigh Guglielmo, loving grandchildren, Thomas John IV and Isabella Rose, dear sister, Mary Jane Collett (Charles) and many nieces and nephews.
