Mary Soto, longtime employee of the Mamaroneck Public Library, pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, on April 24, 2024. This is according to Anna Young, Communications Officer for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
Soto is required to pay full restitution of $44,769 to the Library. She will also be sentenced to three years’ probation at her sentence date scheduled for July 31, 2024.
Ellen Hauptman, President of the Library Board, said she was glad this phase is over, and the Library will continue to move forward.
