Maria Arce, of Mamaroneck, passed away on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old. Maria was born in Mexico on August 3, 1956. For over 45 years, she was a Nurse at Sarah Neuman Nursing Home. Caring for others was her nature as Maria possessed a nurturing and maternal warmth that stretched to all who knew her. She was a mother and grandmother to everyone. Maria enjoyed singing and dancing. In earlier years, she would perform for patrons at Poncho Villas and Don Emilio’s. Maria leaves behind her cherished daughters, Cindy Brown (William), Monica Arce Sclafani, and Raquel Arce (Joe Giralomo), loving grandchildren, Sevilla Sclafani, Ryana Skyler Atiencia, and Joseph Robert Girolamo, and dear brothers, Leopoldo, Jose, Argelino & Max, Adalberto, and Jose Alfredo Villagomez.
Mary E. Stevenson of Mamaroneck passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 30, 1942, to the late Dimitrios and Stella Alicakos (née Fraggis).
Mary and her beloved husband, John E. Stevenson, were the proud proprietors of Mamaroneck Flowers. A gifted and talented floral designer, Mary took great pride in her work and found great joy in creating beautiful arrangements for others. Her creativity, dedication, and love for her craft touched the lives of many in the community.
Mary was a devoted parishioner of the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour in Rye. Her faith and her church community were an important and cherished part of her life. She was also a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society of Rye, where she valued the fellowship and opportunity to serve others.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, John E. Stevenson, and her cherished brother, Ernest Alicakos.
She is survived by her loving niece, Helen Solomos, and her nephews, Theodore Stavrakos and John Stavrakos, and their families. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Joseph Michael Billone, of Mamaroneck, passed away on September 17, 2026, at age 78. He was born in Queens on October 9, 1947, to Placido & Mary (nee Rampulla) Billone. Joe served in the Army during the Vietnam War and remained proud of his service throughout his lifetime. For many years, he worked in sales for IBM. Joe had a great love of horses, and owned racing horses that he loved to watch in Saratoga and Belmont. He enjoyed the company of his large extended Rampulla family, who would often get together and sing. Joe is survived by his cherished children, Jenessa Stearns, Brianna Banahan (Kevin), and Brendon Billone (Alexandra), and loving grandchildren, Trey, Paige, Brecken, Shane, Lilly, and Oliver. He is also survived by his sisters, Grace Camoin and Vivian Castano and his former wife, Cathy Billone.
Mary A. Stamegna of Mamaroneck, NY passed away peacefully Monday, September 7, 2026, at the age of 99. She was born in Manhattan on August 11, 1927, to Amedeo and Leonilda (Sidoli) Conti. Mary graduated high school and began working as a specialty seamstress in New York City. She married her beloved husband, the late Mario Stamegna, and moved to Mamaroneck, where she began her career working for the Mamaroneck Union Free School District. Mary worked in the business office, ultimately becoming the internal auditor for the Board of Education. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Stamegna and her partner Paul Duernberger and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her brothers Hugo and Primo predeceased her.
