Mamaroneck

The proposed budget of $ 159,204,563 passed by a vote of 1,694 to 248, an 87.2% passage rate.  The capital bond passed by a vote of 1,193 to 198, an 85.8% passage rate.

 

Incumbent school board members Ariana Cohen and Sally Cantwell were re-elected, along with newcomer Michael Davidson with 1,204, 1,306 and 1,285 votes respectively.

 

Rye Neck

The proposed budget of $51,127,223 passed by a vote of 690 to 145, an 82.6% passage rate.  Proposition II:  Use of Capital Reserve Fund also passed.  The vote was 737 to 101, an 87.9% passage rate.  Only 835 people voted on a $51 million budget that will impact thousands of residents.

 

The race for School Board had an interesting outcome.  Three candidates were vying for 2 seats and Nikki Barker was elected to serve a three-year term.  The other candidates, Halli Gatenio and Martin O’Reilly tied, and a runoff election will be held on June 20, 2024 in the MS/HS Community Room. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
