At their meeting on April 27th, the Board of Trustees (BOT) heard updates on the following topics:

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs

Village Clerk Sally Roberts reminded residents that all current dog licenses expire on April 30th and must be renewed by May 1.  The annual fee for a dog license is $24 if your pet is spayed/neutered.  The fee is $30 for unspayed/unneutered pets.  You may obtain a license on the Village website (see HERE} or drop an application and proof of rabies vaccination in the mailbox outside Village offices at 123 Mamaroneck Avenue.

Access to the Bark Park is available for an additional fee ($26/year for residents per dog and $52/year per dog for nonresidents).  Anyone with a current fob must turn in the old fob and obtain a new one.  Roberts indicated that those holding current fobs will receive emails about how to renew.  Dogs must also be licensed to gain access to the Bark Park.  See HERE.

New Village Website Unveiled

April 29 is when the new Village Website will be up and running.  If you have already subscribed to Village email lists, you’ll have to sign up again.  Roberts reported that an email would be sent to all existing subscribers letting them know they must re-subscribe at the new site.

STEM-Alliance to Run Programs at Marine Recreation Center

BOT passed a resolution (see HERE) for the Village Manager to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding for the non-profit to run programs this summer at the Village’s Marine Recreation Center.  Village Manager Kathleen Gill explained the action would be budget neutral and would be effective only for this summer.  The Village recently allowed STEM-Alliance to park their new educational bus STEM Quest at Harbor Island Park (see HERE).
