Mayor Sharon Torres gave the flood update by providing a written estimated monthly timeline showing the progress and schedule of flood mitigation efforts. See HERE. She described the three major challenges the Village was tackling prior to start of the Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) plan. The goal was to remove impediments in the rivers, widen the rivers where appropriate and increase drainage capacity. Village Engineer Gino Frabasile also submitted a written report (see HERE) that provided some additional detail to the status of various projects.
