Carol was the best homemaker, mother, grandmother and “Gigi”. Her family was everything to her. She gave her whole heart to everyone without judgement whatsoever. Having many friends, Carol was adored by all and not one person had anything bad to say about her. She loved all sports, attending professional and local games throughout the years. She spent summers as a member of the New Rochelle Rowing Club that owned Pine Island in LI Sound, having fun swimming, camping out and watching her children compete on the rowing team. She went to all of her family’s other sporting events – and there were a lot! Carol’s faith in God was very strong and got her through many health issues – especially surviving breast cancer twice.
She brightened up the day for children while volunteering at St. Vito’s children’s religion studies. Carol had a love of Broadway shows, attending many with family and friends. Traveling to different places was also a favorite, cruises being at the top of her list. She and her husband, Charlie, had a fairytale love that lasted over 70 years and is the perfect example of how to love, persevere, respect and be kind in all relationships.
