Guy Joseph Pipolo, a great “Guy,” passed away on September 6, 2025. He was 62. Born in the Bronx on February 20, 1963, to Thomas and Joan Pipolo. Guy was the co-founder and proprietor of NRG Heat & Power LLC, the first to offer online or “clickable” oil. Also, part of the NRG family is Recycle Oil and Liberty Oil Company.
Guy raised his family in Rye Neck and was active in many organizations. He served on the Rye Neck Board of Education for nine years, two of them as President. He was also involved with the Mamaroneck Recreation Committee for four years, the Larchmont Mamaroneck Little League, and the Italian American Forum.
Above all, Guy was a man devoted to his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Jane (née DelCarmine); his children, Krista Goncalves (Carlos), Jaclyn Pipolo (Frank Mikuszewski), and Thomas Pipolo; and his adoring grandchildren, Isabella, Alexandra, and John Joseph Goncalves. He is also the beloved brother of Janine and Nicole Pipolo. He will be remembered by so many as an amazing brother-in-law, cousin, uncle, coach, boss, and dear friend.
To Guy, everyone was family. His home was always filled with family and friends. Endless gatherings and open invitations to come over.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, generosity, and love. Known for his quick wit, selflessness, and deep devotion to those he cared for, Guy touched countless lives and will be forever remembered.
Michael Allan DeVito, of Mamaroneck, passed away on Friday September 5th. He was 74. Born in the Bronx, February 15, 1951, to Frank and Rosalie DeVito. Michael earned two master’s degrees and pursued a long and successful career in education. He was known to be a life-long learner and instilled a love of learning to his students. For 30 years, Michael taught English at Port Chester Middle School, helping the school to earn recognition in the Blue Ribbon Schools Program. While there and even after retirement, he served as the AFT Union Representative. He later went on to earn the status of Professor at Westchester Community College, where he recently became Senior Adjunct Professor. Michael loved life and being with his family. He enjoyed walking every morning, reading, drawing, sipping on hot coffee and making cakes and pies for anyone who would drop in for a visit. He loved being a dad. A rail enthusiast, Michael enjoyed setting up his trains with his son Michael, decorating for Halloween, and watching scary movies. He was also a self-taught pianist and played at Carnegie Hall with his daughter, Carissa Rose and officiated the wedding of his eldest daughter, Camila Ann. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary (nee Rella), Camila Ann Gonzales (Shelton), Carissa Rose, Michael Laurence; and his loving siblings Richard, Frank, Carole Lynn Mohl (nee DeVito), and sisters-in-law Lucille Rella and Teri Rella.
Marie G. Holley (Selino) of Mamaroneck passed away on August 28, 2025. She was 95. Born in Hawthorne, NY on December 3, 1929 to Frank and Louise Selino. Marie worked at Sarah Neuman Nursing Home for over 30 years, starting as a companion then going on staff as a switchboard operator and handling activities for recreation.
Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerard Holley. She is survived by her loving daughter Kathleen Filomio (Louis), cherished grandchildren Jaime Filomio (Nicole) and Taryn Chaim (Jon) and great grandson, Jaxon Chaim and dear brother Peter Testa. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Angelo Selino, Agnes Galvao and Victoria Vicinanza.
Hilda V. Horvath of Mamaroneck passed away on August 26, 2025 at the age of 90. Hilda was born September 3, 1934 to the late Michael Welsch & Eva Sumetz in Filipowa, Yugoslavia. After the war, on February 18, 1947, she emigrated to the United States. She was 12 years old. She attended Public Schools and graduated from Pelham High School, NY. Hilda married the love of her life, Emery Horvath, on April 12, 1953 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle, NY. They were happily married nearly 65 years. Emery passed away January 23, 2018.
Hilda is survived by her, loving sons, Edward (Pamela), William (Jean) & Emery J. (Laurie), her (10) cherished grandchildren, Kristin, Courtney, Kathryn, Erika, Alec, David, Natalie, Eric, Caitlin & Keith, and her (8) great-grandchildren, Trevor, Sophia, Thomas, Charlotte, Lily, Olivia, Crew & Madeline. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Angelina Batista. She was predeceased by her cherished son Michael and brother Karl Prah. Hilda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. Her love of life, happiness and exuberance, each and every day, was unmatched. We will all miss her love, strength & devotion to her family.
